So... I got this new macro lens and I am having so much fun with it. I was able to pry Wyatt away from his cartoons for a bit so I could practice.
It feels like the kids' features change so often, yet certain characteristics of course always stay the same. Sometimes when he is distracted by something or sleeping, I will just stare at his face and think. Think about how different he looks from when he was a baby yet how I can totally "tell" he is the same child. I think about what he will look like with facial hair, what he will look like as a grown man, what he will look like as an old man. What will be the same? What will be different?
I encourage you all to take a good long look at your child's face and take a moment to really imprint that image in your memory *smile*
Wyatt and I got some great laughs over this one..... hahaha "are you looking at me?! Seriously though, look at all that detail... I love it!
Part II.... the *other* crazy woman in this household..... will be next!

I love all the new beginnings outside!
I spent some time in the back yard a couple of weeks ago just getting some peace and quiet (haha!) and looking at all of the little buds coming out on the trees. They are gorgeous trees and I love that in summer they almost completely cover the kid's windows with the bold green leaves.... such a pretty thing to look out on!
One tree, two different focal points...
And my favorite little furry plants!!!
Happy summer!!

My "baby" graduated pre-school today!!
Waah he is growing up so fast! Today W had his graduation ceremony at school where he received a little diploma and everyone clapped. He was a little concerned about missing his classmates and teacher but I told him all about how exciting kindergarten will be in the fall! I can't believe it.... that he is going to elementary school. I hope I don't cry!
And one of little sister who had a hard time with the concept of being quiet during the presentation!!

Girl's weekend at home!
This past weekend Luke and Wyatt went to Talkeetna for the weekend so Aubrey and I got to chill at home, just us girls. We did some shopping, watched movies, ate lots of junk food.... it was nice! I always remember when I was little how much I loved one on one time with each of my parents :)
I can never get enough of these curls! I can't wait for her hair to get really long, I know it will be gorgeous!
Standard Aubrey face, I love how she has her daddy's lips.

Anchorage, Alaska Family Photographer {Gorgeous Family!}
What a great family, I really had a wonderful time! It was really exciting to get to photograph this family from out of state who were here in town visiting. The weather was perfect, I love their outfit choices (bold colors are always my favorites!) and they were naturals in front of the camera!
I caught a little daddy kiss in there!
After the little one decided she was done modeling, we had the chance to catch a couple of just the grown ups ;) I always love getting photos with my husband, those are important too!

My Mother's Day
I had a wonderful Mother's Day this year.... spa gift certificate, breakfast in bed, handmade cards and little boy kisses all day long!
(Thank you Wyatt for the facial expression...)
After breakfast the four of us went over to my parent's house to share in this delicious angel food cake I had made - yum!
The card I picked out for my mom... the quote is perfect!
After we returned home that afternoon W and I made coconut banana muffins for my mother in law. He is my "cooker" as he calls it and always there to help mix ingredients!
After Luke made dinner for us, I snuck away upstairs and took a loooong nap! Perfect!

Mr. Sasha-Mo-Masha
My mom has this parrot..... he has quite the personality! He has been in our family for many many years and has become a staple figure in the living/dining room area. While over on Mother's Day I took the opportunity to snap a few of him... he was NOT a fan of my camera and started chirping his angry chirp at me... haha!
