I was stoked when our friends asked me to do their engagement portraits! The session went wonderfully, despite the hovering rain cloud, and I absolutely love what we came away with! Congratulations to the happy couple!

My Family - Seward SeaLife Center
A few weeks ago my family took a day trip down to Seward to visit the SeaLife Center. It was a wonderful day.... we all slept in before leaving, ate big fat cheeseburgers on the way down, and spent a leisurely day in Seward enjoying eachother's company! The kids were (of course) completely enthralled by the animals, it made me smile to see them so excited! And of course they each got a little plush animal in the gift shop on the way out. It was a nice day!
This bugger spent the entire time incessently "belching" as loud as he possibly could, you could hear him throughout the entire center! It made Wyatt chuckle each time :)
When we were in the bird area, I was pulling out my camera from the bag and commented to Luke that I wanted a good close up but all of the birds were on the other side of the water surface. Luke said "um, what about that one right there next to you?" and I turned around to see this HILARIOUS little fellow not more than 3 feet away from me on the wall! The kids got a kick out of him and he just sat there the whole time.
"Me too daddy, me too!" Aubrey was having difficulties getting a good view of the water on her own... reach for the stars, dearie! :D

Family Photographer, Anchorage Alaska {My Vintage Baby}
Back a few weeks ago we had a really beautiful evening and I took advantage of it to finally do this idea I've had rolling around in my head for awhile now! This chair of mine went wonderfully with Aubrey's outfit and the golden sunset made it all perfect! My friend was with us as we also got a few of her daughter (those will be up soon!) and although it took a bit of convincing to get Aubrey to cooperate, I love what I got! She is growing up so fast, ahhhhh!
A weekend in Kenai
In my effort to catch up on blogging, I want to share a few shots from our weekend in Kenai last weekend! My husband's grandparents have property right on the river and it really is nice to relax there! I had my camera out a bunch (of course!) but here are a few of my favorites!
The hubby (right) fishing with his cousin (left)
These two were my catch for the weekend! Luke took this photo at close to midnight!
My pugalug really loves being at the river, his little slice of Heaven!
These two were taken with my wide angle lens on our drive home, it was such a beautiful day!
