Cookie Time!!!

Last night the kids and I decided to bake some cookies.... complete with whipped frosting. You have to go all out every once in awhile! Our kitchen is right off the living room where Luke was playing video games and the entire time we were slaving away.... cranking up the music, dancing, eating dough, making a mess - we didn't hear a peep from him. Not until the wonderful aroma filled the house and we were frosting them did he casually come sauntering in "oh, what are you guys up to?" HA!

Confession... the cookies didn't even last a full 24 hours. Eeep!

Oh deliciousness....

Everyone knows the frosting is the best part.... right?!

Alaska Family Photography {Love}

I love it when the rare occasion arises that I get in the photo with my kids. Love. Adore. Cherish. All that good stuff. Just looking at their little faces makes me want to go swoop them up for a big squeeze.... but alas they are upstairs watching The Jungle Book on our king size bed and when they think I'm not looking.... they are cuddled up so close I probably couldn't slide a sheet of paper between them :)

PS. I'm also laughing at Loverboy and his big ol pucker!!!

Alaska Baby Photography {New headband!}

I made this cute little headband tonight for Aubrey, she actually loves it and wanted to wear it! I was so happy, usually she rips everything off her head!!! It has just a little bit of a vintage flair... my favorite!

Weekend at the cabin!

Wyatt was talking about our upcoming weekend at the cabin for weeeeks! He was most excited to go sledding :) So we spent a nice weekend off in the woods and had a great time. The kids spent 99% of their time in the snow and then we drove into Talkeetna (25 miles away!) just for Mountain High pizza... yummm!

Aren't you loving Aubrey's frizz head in all of these? So unruly! No wonder Wyatt's reasoning for cutting it a couple of months ago was "but it was messy and I was cleaning it!" Ahhhh....

The weather was fantastic!!! VERY sunny out!

Ohhh I can't wait for warmer weather! I love winter, but I am now tired of it! I want to open the windows and let in the fresh air, not to mention all of the photo ideas I am excited to try out! Good ol Costco has the big containers of strawberries on sale and we have been digging in!

Alaska Family Photography {Two Little Monkeys Jumpin on the Bed!}

The kids and I had a lazy weekend, we didn't do much of anything.... it was nice! After A woke up from her nap with her ever so lovely bed head (can you call it bed head when their hair looks like that all the time? I swear, she will not let me do anything to it!) the kids started wrestling and I took the opportunity to snap a few! I love this bedspread but unfortunately Luke hates it. Want to know his reasoning? He says that it is too heavy (it is a canvas material) and that when he lays in bed with his feet pointed up that it hurts his toes..... *eye roll* So I must take advantage of it while he is gone!

Get ready for an overload! Baby K is such a little sweetie, nine days old and so beautiful! It was a pleasure to photograph her in her first days of life and I look forward to seeing her again soon!

Our anniversary is coming up and I have decided that I want to order a little mini cake from our wedding cake baker! I would love to be able to relax and enjoy some of our "wedding cake" and do something fun with the ol' hubby! We have about a month to figure out what to do! :)

This wedding ring used to belong to my mom, it was the ring that my dad proposed with. She gave it to me a couple of years ago and I love it!
